The first compact excavator was introduced to the market in 1971 by the century-old Japanese company YANMAR, which has since been a leader in the production of machinery (for construction, agriculture), engines (for industry, marine), energy systems, and components. YANMAR introduced the original ViO (Victory over Zero) model with “Zero Tail Swing” in 1993, and subsequent research and development allowed them to launch the current model of the sixth generation. Since 2007, DOZCO has been the exclusive distributor for YANMAR Mini Excavators in India and has dominated this industry.
